Honoring and Supporting Our Veterans with
Fishing, Food, and a Whole Lot of Fun!
Warrior’s Weekend is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 corporation that is dedicated to supporting our nation’s veterans with an emphasis on those wounded in The Global War on Terrorism.
Founded in 2007, Warrior’s Weekend does this by participating in and hosting numerous events and fundraisers throughout the year as well as by making donations to veterans and veterans-based causes.
Their biggest yearly event is a fishing competition down in Port O’Conner for wounded military personnel. The event kicks off this year on Friday, May 17th at the POC Community Center with a fish fry at 5 pm for attendees/sponsors/boat captains followed by a poker tournament at 6:30 pm.
They kick off Saturday with a big breakfast for all attendees at 6am. The competitors then hit the water at 8 am for the fishing tournament. There are tons of family activities planned from 9 am to 2 pm. The boats come in between 1 pm and 3pm to clean up for a BBQ dinner at 6:30 pm. Sunday morning at 8 am there is a breakfast followed by a send-off for the participating veterans at 10 am.
